FAST-ACT August Event Highlights: Supporting First Responders Nationwide

This August, the FAST-ACT team was on the road providing hands-on training and support to first responders facing today’s most urgent chemical and hazardous material threats. From Virginia to Louisiana, we had the privilege of demonstrating how FAST-ACT’s proven chemical decontamination solutions can help emergency teams respond faster, safer, and with greater confidence.

DTRA Event –

On August 11, FAST-ACT, in partnership with ADS, participated in a Defense Threat Reduction Agency (DTRA) event in Virginia, connecting with federal partners and emergency response professionals. This opportunity allowed our team to highlight FAST-ACT’s role in neutralizing chemical threats across diverse mission sets, from CBRN defense to hazmat response.

By showcasing the versatility of FAST-ACT’s technology—including FAST-ACT Pressurized Cylinders, FAST-ACT Decontamination Mitts, and FAST-ACT Decontamination Wipes—we reinforced the importance of rapid deployment in environments where seconds matter. These engagements strengthen our ongoing partnership with agencies committed to keeping communities and critical infrastructure safe.

FAST-ACT Demo –

The following day, on August 12, the FAST-ACT team, in partnership with Fastenal,  performed a live chemical decontamination training demo with state and local agencies in Louisiana. This hands-on session gave firefighters the chance to see FAST-ACT in action and experience how quickly our products can neutralize toxic chemicals and restore readiness.

Here’s what participants shared about the training:

  • What stood out most: “The speed of decon to put members immediately back in service.”

  • What they enjoyed most: “Learning a better way to do decon in certain situations.”

Feedback like this underscores why our chemical decontamination training courses are so impactful for first responders. By combining live demonstration with practical application, FAST-ACT ensures teams are prepared for real-world emergencies—whether responding to unknown chemical releases, fentanyl exposure, or large-scale hazardous events.

IDEC 2025 –

From August 25–29, FAST-ACT was represented by ADS at the 39th International Drug Enforcement Conference (IDEC) in Tennessee, hosted by the U.S. Drug Enforcement Administration (DEA). This global event brought together drug enforcement agencies from around the world.

FAST-ACT samples and catalogs were distributed in ADS bags to delegates from multiple countries, with strong engagement from National Police organizations. The event also provided the opportunity to showcase FAST-ACT solutions directly to the DEA, reinforcing the critical role our technology plays in supporting agencies on the front lines of drug enforcement and chemical threat response.

Why These Trainings Matter

Every engagement—whether with federal agencies like DTRA or local fire departments—reinforces FAST-ACT’s mission: to equip emergency responders with safe, effective, and rapid-deployment solutions for chemical threat neutralization.

As new threats emerge, our team remains committed to ongoing education, training, and field support to ensure responders have the tools and confidence they need to protect lives and infrastructure.
