FAST-ACT Demonstrates Rapid Dry Decontamination at Michigan Healthcare Coalition Event
On September 16, FAST-ACT® joined Henry Ford Health for a hands-on dry decontamination demonstration hosted as part of a regional healthcare coalition meeting in Michigan. The session brought together healthcare, emergency preparedness, and response professionals for a closer look at how dry decon technology can strengthen chemical readiness inside hospital walls.
Inside the Demonstration
Participants received live, hands-on training with FAST-ACT’s core hospital decontamination tools, including the FAST-ACT Pressurized Cylinder, FAST-ACT Decontamination Mitts, and FAST-ACT Decontamination Wipes. The demonstration walked attendees through how each tool decontaminates, contains, and/or neutralizes a wide range of chemical hazards on contact, without water, mixing, or specialized infrastructure.
For healthcare coalition members, the session offered a practical look at what early-phase decontamination can look like in a real hospital setting: patients who self-present to the emergency department before formal decon systems are activated, staff working to limit secondary exposure, and the operational pressure of responding quickly with limited resources.

That reality places emergency department staff at the front line of exposure risk.
